I had a great time at the event but that's not an unusual occurrence. I enjoyed some chicken wings with old and new fellow cachers and made off with an interesting TB. TFTE!!

I was not feeling well so only Miles Stone attended this event (his log is below). But nonetheless I wanted to offer congratulations to Greg and Craig on a job well done. Sounds like you were the perfect hosts!

Notes on hosting:
Craig and Greg were the epitomy of perfect hosts. The primary responsiblility of hosting is welcoming people, especially newcomers. We all remember attending our first event and the anticipation of not knowing what to expect. I think we all agree that we want CCC to come off as a friendly and welcoming group. We can ALL help to keep CCC a friendly place...if you see someone you don't know make it a point to welcome them. It sounds like there were several first timers at this event and the 2 Big Guys did a great job as official welcome crew!

For those that may be interested in hosting, please drop me an email and I'll let you know what months are available. It's a good idea to have attended at least 2-3 events first to get the idea.
In addition to being the official welcome committee, you need to secure a location, bring a log book, name tags, and set up a log book/travel bug table at the event. Make sure you communicate with the restaraunt and tell them to expect anywhere from 20 to 40 guests. You can usually narrow down the number by "will attend" the logs. Then call them again the day before the event to remind them. Door prizes and raffles are optional.

Til next time!

Enjoyed our 1st CCC's Nite Out held at "Hooters". Sat with joesdolphins and brown bear whom welcomed us warmly and helped me with my 1st group and night cache. Sorry that Marie and I did"nt get there earlier in order to meet and talk with everyone. Thanks to G13 for providing the pictures (it helped to later put the names and faces together) I only wished that we had some nice username pins to help the newbies like ourselves and to proudly wear at other cache events. Hope to see you guys next month. Alex Roman

Had a great time at the event. Sat with one half of jay2brew, always a pleasure to talk with. Got to meet a couple of other cachers for the first time as well. Tried the fried pickels for the first time, they were excellent. We got so wrapped up in our food and company neither one of us rembered to sign in. If this is a problem let us know and we will delete the log, or the host can if they feel necessary. Thanks for putting this together.

Numbers flew solo to the event and had a very good time. The food was good and the company was better. Many thanks to Greg and Craig for being the gracious hosts. Also got to meet Whisky333, Mae45, Milestone and MessSgt for the first time. It's always good to put faces on the names you see so often in the log books.
