Geocache Description:

This is a lampskirt cache in a location of little redeeming significance, with a twist. The cache is not at GZ. Or is it? Your job is to find out which skirt it is under... and then move it to another skirt.

Ah yes, I remember my first lampskirt cache ("LSC") like it was yesterday, or two years ago. It was just north of the Kmart by Spring Street (since archived). I dug in the bushes for 20 minutes, came up empty handed, then went home and re-read the logs and found that basically everybody who had looked for it had found it. So I went back the next day and found it. Amazing! I didn't know those things even lifted.

So I found my second LSC shortly thereafter. Not so memorable as I don't remember it. And then the 3rd. 4th. 5th. Okay, now if GZ is in a parking lot, I pretty much zero in on the nearest lamp post.

So here's the deal and the twist. GZ gets you to the lot. (Okay, so would googlemaps.) I count ten lamp posts. Start lifting until you find it. Then sign the log, make a trade if you are so inclined, AND MOVE IT TO ANOTHER LAMP POST!

Yes, I understand there is little redeeming value in this, so hunt for it only if you feel like bumping up your numbers. & to add insult to injury, the container is yet another magnetized Altoids tin. How low will I stoop?

Original contents - a George Washington dollar coin, a lighted necklace, an expanding towel with a crab on it, and a plastic cow.

Minor historical notes to give the illusion of making this cache more interesting: The pet supply store used to be the home of Music Plus, where I bought my first cassette tape ("Desolation Boulevard" by Sweet) The Burger King location was once a failed attempt at bringing the dinky White Castle hamburgers to LA. Druids can probably remember what was there before White Castle. And before Staples. The view of office buildings to your north used to be the Circle Drive-In, where Druids probably used to drive in solo and pay for one ticket with five teenagers in the trunk. Solpugids would never do that (we just rode our bikes up the hill and watched for free.)

Enough of this, start lifting!
