Geocache Description:

This cache is located close to a well traveled trail. However, the last 60-70 feet is not well traveled. Overall, this should not be a very hard cache to find.

I placed this cache during a short overnight visit to the Durham area. In addition to a variety of items, I have placed George the Origami Elephant in this cache. George was placed in my first cache (Pingy Head South in Winter Park, Fl. N28'35.109 W081'21.589 Geocache Waypoint GC15FF) by Bos on August 26th, 2001. George would like to travel back to Pingy Head South by way of geo-caching. Please only take George if you are able to move him to another geo-cache closer to his home. I have included a seperate log to be kept with George so cacher's can log his movements and travels. If you do move George, remember to sign his log and include the dates and locations of his travels and any other information you would like to include. Also post a note on this page when you move George. I have uploaded a few pictures of the original cache contents and George at Pingy Head South at 12:15pm on August 28, 2001 and at Pingy Head North at 7:15pm on the same date (we travel fast!) Please help George travel the 529 miles home!

Cache replaced with new ammo box on 4/26/2012 by Tandemguy who adopted the cache from Ger. Location and description are unchanged though the years may have altered the particulars somewhat. Have fun finding what may be Durham's oldest existing cache.
