Use this as a guideline. If you make something exceptionally well bring that. Feel free to post a note as to what you are bringing. If it's something special we may ask you to share the recipe in the
GONIL Cookbook.
If there's anything else you'd like to grill, besides burgers and dogs, please feel free to bring it and our fabulous grill masters will find you a spot on the grill.

Closest to the Pin Contest
Pick a spot, any spot! All you have to do is submit a set of coordinates within Busse Woods. Once all entries have been received, one of three pre-chosen “pin” locations will be selected and the closest entry to that spot will win a fabulous prize! Everyone can enter!
Split the Pot Raffle
Throughout the day, volunteers will be selling chances to “split the pot”. You’ll choose a card from a standard poker deck and tear it in half. Put half in the drawing and keep the other half. One winner per deck will be chosen to “split the pot” with GONIL. There will be decks going for $2/card, $5/card and $10/card. So, for example, if all the $10 cards sell, the “pot” for that deck will be $520.00 and the winner will get $260.00!

Cupcakes for Courage Cupcake Truck
As seen on the streets of downtown Chicago and on the Food Network’s Cupcake Wars, the big, green Cupcakes for Courage cupcake truck will be on site selling their fabulous cupcakes. GONIL gets a portion of the proceeds for every cupcake sold. Buy some to enjoy at the picnic and some to take home! Cupcakes are $3.25 each and they will have a nice selection of
flavors!
Blindfolded Cache Race
Pick a partner for this crazy race! A cache will be placed, somewhat out in the open, and the “sighted” partners will guide their blindfolded partners to find the cache using only verbal cues. The twist? The sighted partners will be some distance away, shouting their commands. The blindfolded partners will have to sort out their own partner's voice from all the others. First one to the cache wins!
The Magic of Anthony Stockton
Fabulous young magician,
Anthony Stockton, son of caching team KINGEVO, will be working the crowd, performing close-up magic. Anthony will be working for tips, so plan to be amazed and to show your appreciation for this fine young talent!
Poker Run
What is a poker run you ask? Each participant will be given a scorecard and a list of poker run caches at the start. As you find caches on the list, stamp your scorecards in the spot that matches the playing card you find in each cache. Everyone will be required to return by 5:00 p.m. and the highest 5-card poker hand will win. In the case of a tie, there will be a drawing.
Winners Announced
All the day’s winners will be announced! Don’t plan to enter any of the contests? You could still be a winner as we will have some fabulous door prizes, too! Everyone who attends will be eligible to win.
Clean-Up
Please stick around after the prize announcements to help clean up the picnic site. The more people we have the quicker it will go. Thanks!
