This cache is nearby the location of a restaurant called the Frosty Cup that stood for many years. It burned to the ground in the winter of 2017.
The Frosty Cup served an outstanding breakfast for a very reasonable price. The #5 was famous, according to the back of the wait staffs' shirts. The name leads me to believe it started out as an ice cream place but evolved into a homey atmosphere that many locals enjoyed visiting. Visitors from "downstate" were also grateful for the inexpensive but great food available after a long drive. Mr. Leprechan, the original CO of the cache met here regularly with several of his guy friends for the famous #5 breakfast. When the Leprechauns moved to Texas, we took on several of their caches. This one was originally hidden in an old inactive phone booth located near the road. When the Frosty Cup burned to the ground one very "frosty" night in the winter of 2017, the owners decided they would not rebuild and had the entire place leveled, including the old phone booth. We decided to just move the cache but keep the location in memory of the "Frosty Cup"!
