Att Nyköping finns beror på att man för
ungefär tusen år sedan att det fanns en bra och
naturligt skyddad hamn en bit uppströms i ån.
Idag är hamnen ett populärt ställe på sommarne
med restauranger och glassförsäljning.
The fact that Nyköping exists at all is because there was a
waterfall here which could be used as a source of power, as well as
a sheltered harbour.
The harbour is a popular spot in the summer, with restaurants and
ice-cream sellers.
