Cachetoberfest on the Waccamaw: by the Grand Strand Geocachers. Sunday Oct. 12th 8:30am -12:30pm
Due to popular demand and overwhelming response to the possiblity of a paddling event. HERE IT IS.
We will be paddling the beautiful Waccamaw Riven/Kingston Lake in Conway, SC about 14 miles NW of Myrtle Beach on US 501. We will be leaving the Conway Kayak Company promptly at 8:30am and returning at 12:30pm. The Waccamaw River in the Conway area is known as one of the most beautiful stretchs of river in the state. There are six caches placed there currently and several more planned to be there in the next few weeks.
If you do not have your own kayak or canoe, we have made special arrangements for a discounted price of $25.00 for the four hours. If you wish to paddle on your own for a while, the entire day will be $35.00. This price is to rent a single person kayak from the Conway Kayak Company.
They do have a limited number of tandum kayaks available. Please check with them on the price.

The Grandstrand Geocachers will be providing a powered safety boat.
