[PT] O Forte do Paimogo, ou, Forte de Nossa Senhora dos Anjos do
Paimogo situa-se numa arriba sobranceira á Praia do Paimogo na
Lourinhã.
[ENG] The Paimogo Fort, or, "Our Lady of the Angels of
Paimogo Fort is located in a clif above the Paimogo beach near
Lourinhã.
[PT] O Forte, construido na segunda metade do seculo XVII
segundo a arquitectura militar barroca estava integrado na segunda
linha defensiva fortificada que começava na Praça do
Forte da Vila em Peniche e se estendia até á barra do
Tejo.
Trata-se de um exemplar quase unico de fortificação
posterior á restauração e a sua missão militar
terminou com o fim da guerra civil.
[ENG] The fort was built in the 2nd half of the XVII century
according to the barroque military architecture and was part of the
2nd fortified defensive line that started in the nearby Peniche
Fort and ended in the Tagus River.
[PT] Ao fim de quinze anos de reivindicação junto da
Direcção-Geral do Património, em Setembro de 2004 a
CM da Lourinhã conseguiu a posse do Forte por um período
de 25 anos e integrou-o na “Rota dos Dinossauros” do
Instituto da Conservação da Natureza.
[ENG] After 15 years the Lourinhã city hall has taken
the fort into his possession for a period of 25 years and it´s
now part of the "Dinossaur route".
[PT] Actualmente em fase final de restauro, a autarquia
prevê investir mais dinheiro no Forte, reabilitando-o para
fins turísticos. O projecto, apresentado em 2004, contempla
investimentos superiores a 1 milhão de euros, com a
criação de uma galeria para exposições
temporárias, sala de exposição dos achados
paleontológicos (ninho de ovos de dinossauro) que foram feitos
nas imediações do Forte, sala de leitura e cafetaria com
esplanada. Os espaços envolventes ao edifício serão
aproveitados como zona verde e enquanto espaço para
exposições temporárias ao ar livre.
[ENG] Today, the fort is at the final stage of restauration
and the city hall foresees to invest more in the fort
rehabilitating it for touristic porpuses. The project, presented in
2004 predicts investments up to 1 million Euros with the creation
of a gallery for temporary exhibitions, exhibition hall for the
paleontological findings that have been made near the fort
(dinossaur eggs), reading room and a cafeteria with esplanade. The
surrounding areas will be used for outdoor temporary
exhibitions
[PT] A praia do Paimogo situa-se logo abaixo e as suas aguas
calmas possibilitam a prática de mergulho, caça submarina
e pesca desportiva.
[ENG] The Paimogo beach is located above the fort and his
calm waters allow the practice of swiming, scuba diving and
fishing.
A Cache / The Cache
[PT] Esta cache é multi apenas para obrigar a uma visita
mais atenta ao Forte. Para a encontrar terão apenas que dar
uma vista de olhos ao forte. Sugiro que se dirijam ao
pátio interior e subam até ao terraço apreciando a
vista sobre as redondezas.
[ENG] This is a multi cache only to make you take a closer
look at the fort. To find the cache you only have to take a look
around. I sugest you walk around the fort and up to the terrace for
a sightseing.
[PT] O numero de degraus da esquerda (quando se encontram de
costas para o mar) será A
O numero de degraus da direita será B
O Numero de Portas (ou portões) exteriores será C
O Numero de Janelas exteriores será D
Latitude Final=Latitude Original-A+C+2
Longitude Final=Longitude Original-B+D+1
[ENG] The number of steps on the left stairway (facing the
fort with your back to the sea) will be A
The number of steps on the right will be B
The number of exterior doors (or gates) will be C
The number of exterior windows will be D
Final Latitude=Original Latitude-A+C+2
Final Longitude=Original Longitude-B+D+1
[PT] Por vezes há alguma afluência de Mugglers na
área pelo que sugerimos a tradicional discrição na
busca da cache se isso acontecer. Normalmente os mugglers não
demoram muito tempo e a cache está escondida num sitio
relativamente discreto. Voltem a deixar a cache como a encontraram,
com a tampa virada para cima. Devem ter tambem alguma
atenção com crianças pois há algumas arribas
proximo do forte.
[ENG] Sometimes theres a lot of mugglers around the area so
we sugest that you be discreet when searching. Mugglers dont take
that much time so if you wait for a while it should be ok. Please
leave the cache as you found it, with the top up. Also be carefull
with children because there are some cliffs nearby.
[PT] Como a zona está ainda com algumas obras pendentes
agradeço que tenham especial cuidado se houver trabalhadores
na zona e que voltem noutra altura de for de todo impossivel
retirar a cache do seu esconderijo sem dar nas vistas. Lembrem-se
que há várias caches por perto e podem sempre voltar mais
tarde. Se notarem algo que possa colocar a cache em perigo por
favor avisem pois muito possivelmente ela terá que ser mudada
no futuro com a abertura do forte ao publico.
[ENG] Because there are still some final works undergoing at
the spot please be carefull if there are workers on the fort and
return later. There are lots of caches that you can find in the
area that allow you to keep caching and return later. If you notice
anything that can place the cache in danger please report because
the cache will probably have to be moved when the fort is open to
the public.

contrário serão apagados
All logs must be in Portuguese or English and have, at least, a
brief description of your hunt. Otherwise they will be
