This is a splash mob which is defined as "a large group of people
who assemble over a period of time on a remote island to soak up
the rays, chat, eat, do a little paddling and maybe some fishing,
then disperse."

To make this easy, bring your own food and drinks. If you want
to bring a little extra to share, that is fine too. You might also
want to bring a beach chair or blanket and some insect repellent,
and of course a trash bag to pack out all your trash.
The location is a scenic little island with a flat area, a fire
ring and some rocks to lay out on. It's about a 2 mile paddle from
the put-in to the island.
Non boat owners are welcome and those of you who own multiple
boats are encouraged to make your extras available to the
landlubbers among us. Also, the island isn't too far from shore, so
it's possible to hike in (about 3 miles one way)and I'm sure one of
us boaters can pick you up you from the shore. Maybe bring a
whistle so we can hear you.
Note: When logging a "will attend" please note if you will be
paddling in, walking in or would like to bum a ride on someone
else's boat. Also, if you have an extra boat you can loan out for
the day, mention that as well.
