The Caledonia Grand Trunk station was built by the Grand Trunk Railway in 1908 to serve the growing community of Caledonia.
Passenger service ended on Oct. 26, 1957 but express parcel service continued until November of 1977 whereafter the CNR used it as a maintenance depot until 1988.
The station was renovated by a crew of 12 members with the Caledonia Chamber of Commerce committee beginning in 1996. The official opening was held on Nov. 27/1997.
This new station is now home to the Caledonia Regional Chamber of Commerce, and Tourist Information Centre. It is also a railway museum which displays local railway artifacts and a working model train.
