Geocache Description:

An easy to find cache on what was once a road

CharlieCoe and I have created a series of caches on or near roads that just don't exist anymore due to the urban crawl in and near our area. This is the fifth in this series.

Poplar Tree Road looks to have gone all the way to 28. It now ends at Newbrook drive and the remaining old road is blocked off to traffic.

Please don't park in the parking lots of the buildings nearby. Most of them are marked 'Private Property'. You can park on the side of the road up near where it is closed at these coordinates: 38°52.142'N 77°26.063'W.

This was once a plastic screw lid container hidden in a fairly obvious place, but, due to muggles, has now become a smaller less visible film canister.

There's another cache further down the road - in fact it's at "The End of the Road" - well worth the additional walk.
