Anyone who knows RAY knows he is the UNOFFICIAL MAYOR of this forested land. He maintains the lovely trails from the east end to as far around this vacant (undeveloped)land that you can travel.
Ray helps to keep the cross country trails open: self-groomed by him. For walkers who no longer have to have that hawthorn tree eye-gougers and cheek ripper sensation- THANK RAY!
When the flood waters washed away the only log you used last year for the "jump" and you see a new one for your 'flight to the other side-THANK RAY!
The trail to this cache is even and easy and the hide is intended for a look see of the area where you can CONTINUE a walk and enjoy the trodden paths that we all have created over years and years of visiting this place.
We ask that you respect the geocachers code of CITO as you walk for this cache as we all take an active part, and have for the past 40 years, in keeping this an area of good walking and some interesting seasonal sights.
The geocache can contain small trades and please feel free to log a thank you to Ray if you notice anything of particular significance along your walk.
Ray and I mountain bike , hike, jog, cross country ski and even try our hand at some WADING from time to time across some of the deadfall along the pathways. It can be very dog friendly and kid friendly but NEVER have children geocache alone. ANYWHERE!
AND PLEASE DO NOT DO THE GEOCACHES AT NIGHT. THIS IS A DAYLIGHT ONLY KIND OF VISIT.
Dress accordingly and bring your camera. and binoculars You never know what you will see...you might even get a glimpse of the FOREST KING himself...or Stella? or Sam?
