Wonderful short hike along Yakoun River to where the Magestic Golden Spruce once stood.

Park at 53 38.218N; 132 12.551W [approximately 6 k out of Port Clements ... 3.2 on gravel] Walk in to this great forest and when you get to the co-ordinates, sit down and ponder this amazing story [Governor General Award winning non fiction book The Golden Spruce by John Vaillant] You can just see what is left of this mythic tree across the river.
For the cache, check out behind your resting spot about 25 yds. Cache, a white paint bucket, has some items from our local Northern Savings Credit Union who have helped us get started with geocaching on the Charlottes.
