This is at a public little league field that has just undergone a facelift

The Arizona Diamondbacks is a professional team based in Phoenix , Arizona . The Diamondbacks joined in the major league on March 9, 1995 , along with the Tampa Bay Devil Rays. Roland Hemond, a three-time winner of MLB's executive of the year award for his work with the Baltimore Orioles during the 1980s, was named the club's vice president of baseball operations. The club takes its name from the venomous Diamondback Rattlesnake that is found in the southwestern United States . The Diamondbacks played their first major league game against the Colorado Rockies on March 31, 1998 at Chase Field. In 1999, Arizona won over 100 games in only its second season to win the National League West division. The Diamondbacks won three division titles in 1999, 2001 and 2002. The Diamondbacks ended the 2000 season in 3 rd place with 85-77 score.

The Manager Buck Showalter left the team and Bob Brenley joined the team. In 2001 the Diamondbacks registered postseason victories over the St. Louis Cardinals and Atlanta Braves to advance to the World Series; they defeated the reigning champions, the New York Yankees, 4 to 3 and became the youngest franchise to win the championship. Randy Johnson who became the first pitcher to win 3 World Series game in 33 years, and Curt Schilling spilt Series MVP honors. In 2002 the Diamondbacks won the NL West for the third time in 4 years by making a good record of 98-64. As the season progressed Diamondbacks lost Crag Counsel and Luis Gonzales to injuries as a result they were defeated in 3 straight games by the St. Louis Cardinals in the NLDS. In 2003 season the Diamondbacks posted a record of winning 10 games and maintained their place. The Diamondbacks ended the season in 3 rd place with a record of 84-78. Richie Sexson was lost by the team due to shoulder injury in 2004. The Diamondbacks ended the 2004 season in last place with a miserable 51-111 record. Despite the terrible record Randy Johnson managed to make it a solid season with a 16-14 record and 2.60 ERA with a league high 290 strike outs. The Diamondbacks were led by the new manager Bob Melvin in 2005 but they ended the season on a disappointing record off 77 wins and as many as 85 losses.

The Diamondbacks ended up second in the NL West, five games behind the San Diego Padres. N October 2005 the team hired 35 year old Josh Byrnes as the general manager of the team replacing Joe Garigiola. The team has no MVPs till date and no one has won the Rookie of year honor. The team has no member to represent in the Hall of Famers. The Diamondbacks has never hosted the All-Star games and MVP. The Diamondbacks plays at Bank One Ballpark stadium located in Phoenix , Arizona . This stadium was opened in March 1998. This beautiful stadium has a retractable roof that is a unique feature to be found in the stadiums of the United States . The team has in its achievements three division titles, one National League pennants and one World Series Championship.
