Geocache Description:

Up a moderate slope with a stile.

It's taken a long time to place this cache, because this castle is nearly all gone, and it was very hard to find a part of it still in existence.

You will be visiting the not famous, not important, not stunning, not strategic, not historic remains of Dyserth Castle.

What looks like a lump of rock IS - you guessed it - IT!

Here's a bit of history, provided by marzipancurtis (thanks)

The castle was built in the 1240's by Henry III and destroyed by Llywelyn ap Gruffudd and Gruffudd ap Madog in 1263. In 1916 most of the remains of the castle tumbled into the quarry, apart from "IT".

Anyway the walk is quite nice.
