Geocache Description:

Robesonia Pool – The Happiest PJJl on Earth

Welcome to the Robesonia pJJl. This pJJl was first opened in 1960 and has been bringing fun to families for 51 years.  Our family joined the pJJl three years ago and has been enjoying spending our summers here.  The pJJl is supported by volunteers, donations and memberships, unlike many other community pJJls which receive local government funding.

While talking about hobbies with some of the other pool families, we mentioned our love of geocaching.  After the puzzled looks disappeared, the questions started.  Over several months, we coordinated several geo-van rides taking kids and adults alike as we head off for a quick cache in Bernville, Newmanstown or Meyerstown.  It does get to be a challenge when four kids and two adults pile out of a van and try to look inconspicuous on a street corner.  Umm, it’s a field trip to look at street signs.  Errr… we’re surveying the number of guard rails in western Berks County… Would you believe we always take pictures of stop signs?

We decided to place a cache at this pJJl, where some of the membership describes it as “The Happiest PJJl on Earth!”  September is always a sad time at the pJJl, knowing with will be another 8 ½ months before it opens again.  We hope to keep some of the happy memories alive throughout the year as people stop by to geocache.

There is a parking lot associated with the pJJl that must be used. Parking on the grass or across the street at Eiceman & Bennethum Automotive IS NOT PERMITTED.  Will you be watched?  Between the hours of 11:00 am and 7:00 pm and between Memorial and Labor Day weekends – yep, plan on being watched by muggles.  Some might know what you are up to while others will stare and question why people keeping walking outside the pJJl.  There is no need to enter the fenced in area. The cache can be retrieved from outside the fence.
