Geocache Description:

This is a cache-type courtesy of ‘Rusty O Junk,’ an infamous geocacher from the NY Capital District. Check out his other creative (read: diabolical) caches on-line.

The concept is simple, but may take two trips depending on your equipment. You determine the coordinates for each endpoint below, create two lines, with the super-secret cache hidden at the intersection. It’s a fun little challenge, with numerous ways to compound errors!

I'm starting this cache with a nice bounty of quality goodies, so I am requesting if you take something, leave something of equal interest (read: no Happy Meal prizes or beads).

The coordinates are:

1.) The first set of coordinates is a little gift from me to you, provided above.

2.) Near the main parking access to hiking trails, there are several buildings, one of which is an old farmhouse. There are three steps to the porch. Determine the coordinates from the middle of the second step. Now take a look at those lightning rods on the roof. Are you sure there isn’t a storm blowing in?

3.) There is a significant powerline that crosses the main park road. Determine the coordinates of the first powerpole south of the road, near the 'Crossover' trail. (Get it?, “Crossover,” as in “X”, symbolic of the super-secret hide location?)

4.) Determine the coordinates from the northeast corner of the horse corral off the main park road (not sawmill). Watch your step. I don’t want to read logbooks about what you got on your shoes.

Good Luck & Happy Caching.
