During our very first event last year, we launched our canoe from the launch at Eastern Park in Tonawanda. We noticed a lot of garbage along the side of the creek on our way to the event area and I thought that the area could use a good CITO. Before the launch of the sequel to that event, I thought it would be good to take some time and clean up around the boat launch and along the creek. You will need some kind of water craft to partake in this clean up because most of the area along the creek is private property. We will meet up at Eastern Park at 9am and set off shortly thereafter. I will have garbage bags and rubber gloves for everyone. You will need to bring whatever you think is necessary to get the job done (nets, grabbers, etc...). I know we will not get all of the trash along the creek, but we can at least make a dent in it.
