Mr. Boddy is having a party and YOU are on the list!!



Dear Guests,

The Boddy Mansion in Old Town, Tacoma is having its Summer Gala Event again this year. I speak on behalf of Mr. Boddy and the household in extending our warmest welcome to all of our invited guests. As with previous summer events, we are planning a fun-filled day of puzzles and surprises!

On Saturday, July 18th, the Gala will commence at the listed coordinates in Old Town, Tacoma. Mr. Boddy will be there to personally welcome each of you. Check-in will be from 9:30 - 10am. The Gala puzzle race will start promptly at 10am. Teams consisting of 4 to 6 guests will travel to different locations throughout the expansive estate grounds in search of specially hidden caches containing puzzles and clues to their next destination.

As Mr. Boddy swears by the benefits of exercise and the fresh Tacoma air; the puzzle race will consist of two approximately 2.5 mile circuits to be covered on foot. There will be an hour-long interlude for rest and refreshment in between the circuits. We recommend bringing a sack lunch to enjoy on the front lawn.

We kindly ask that each group of guests bring a GPS, cell phone, and writing implement. Laptops or internet access, regretfully, will not be allowed. Notebooks will be provided for each group to help solve the various puzzles. Guests can expect to spend more time solving puzzles than traveling. Guests can feel free to travel at their own pace. However, at 4:30pm, groups that have not finished the course will be kindly directed by household staff to the Mansion for the final toast. Each group of guests must travel together at all times. The group that completes the most puzzles using the least amount of help wins. More details about scoring will be given by myself prior to the event.

At 5:00pm, the Gala will conclude and we will announce this year's winners!

The Gala, as always, will be a premier event which is not to be missed. We all do hope you will be able to attend. Mr. Boddy promises that this year's Gala will be to DIE for!
