Soga Sports Park is a base for promotion of sports and sports park in Chiba City Parks and Recreation to respond to the diversifying needs of citizens, the park was developed as a park as a base functionality in conjunction with disaster. Parkland is the place where Kawasaki Steel (existing JEF steel) established seaside consistency ironworks in 1951.
A blast furnace monument of 12 meters in height is put here. As for this monument, it was produced the fifth Chiba blast furnace which ever produced iron in this ground in a model by a hand of Mitsugorou Kurata.

蘇我スポーツ公園は、千葉市におけるスポーツの振興の拠点となる運動公園、市民の多様化するレクリエーション需要に対応する公園、防災拠点となる機能を併せ備えた公園として整備された公園です。公園用地は1951年に川崎製鉄(現JEFスチール)が臨海一貫製鉄所を開設した場所です。
ここには高さ12メートルの高炉モニュメントが置かれています。このモニュメントはかつてこの地で鉄を生産してきた千葉第五高炉をモデルに倉田光吾郎氏の手によって製作されたものです。
