Leverage the power of GoogleEarth to better prepare your
geocaching hikes! We'll demonstrate techniques to insert public
park trail maps between the GE terrain and the cache icons. You'll
be able to navigate the park trails in 3D and select itineraries
that suit you the best.
If you have never used GoogleEarth before, that's OK. We'll help
you get started.
This workshop will be hands on as much as possible. If you have a
laptop with GE installed, you may want to bring it to the
event.
Agenda
The event will be made of two main
parts. A more formal GE class first, with lots of demos and
hands-on activities, followed by a casual workshop where people
will have a chance to practice and being helped by more experienced
peers. You can attend just the formal class, just the workshop, or
both.

Workshop
Not everybody will be able to come with a laptop but we
will
compensate the lack of machines by having a long event
(we
have the room until 11pm)
We will rely on the most experience users to help the
less
experienced ones. |
