About the Cache & Hide
This cache will take you to a different section of the park than what we have used in the past. There is a paved trail from the parking lot until the final feet of the cache. You are searching for a small clear rectangle lock and lock container, 2 inches by 3 inches by 1 inch deep. Bring your own pen or pencil. Be sure to COVER the cache COMPLETELY as this is a highly used section of the park.
This is a replacement cache from GizFinder's Seed Cache (GCR17Y). It was placed for the Geocaching Basics Workshop on April 26, 2007 and made a permanent cache for everyone to find. June 2008 the original container was replaced with a slightly larger but still micro'ish container. Small tradies are now possible.
About the Park
Konkel Park has public restrooms, bubble (water fountain for the out of town visitors) and pay phone during the summmer months. There is a new playground on the southside of the park AND a replacement/new playground on the northside of the park.
Sorry, dogs are not allowed in the City of Greenfield Parks. Park hours are sunrise until 10 PM. It is not recommended you search for this one before/after hours as the Police station is right across the street.
This cache is NOT winter friendly.
