Geocache Description:

The cache was placed while on a pre-run trip for the 35th annual 2002 Baja 1000 off-road race, and updated while pre-running for the upcoming 37th annual 2004 Baja 1000, and re-checked while pre-running for the 2006 Baja 1000.

Our original journey to place the cache took us 653.05 miles on dirt roads from Bay of Los Angeles to the "Mini-Summit" near La Paz to place this cache. At the time, we were unprepared for such a decision, and we improvised by using a Gatorade bottle. The NEW container is an ammo box and contains the following items:

Stays in Cache:
• Fresh Logbook
• Pen
• Cache sheet (English and Spanish)

Trade Items:
• Set of Mini Screwdrivers
• Several Zip Ties
• New advanced FLOW engineering T-Shirt
• American Flag Pin
• American Flag Wrist Bands
• Caribiner
• Bottle of Arrowhead Water
• 2 Rancho Stickers
• 18 pesos
• 1 US dollar
• 1 V.S.O.P. cigar
• Sun faded Race Map of the 2002 Baja 1000
from the original Gatorade bottle

The cache is located near a road, however, said road is ROUGH. The area offers spectacular views of the surrounding beauty that is Baja, the Sea of Cortez and the city of La Paz in the distance. As always, this is Baja and can be very dangerous. Search at your own risk. Good Luck!
