The Indiana Spirit Quest series of geocaches will take you to a number of historic cemeteries and historic sites built by Hoosier Pioneers. In less than three years, the quest has grown to over five hundred fifty caches hidden in Indiana, Ohio, Michigan, and Kentucky and Ontario and the hiders have grown to over THIRTY cacher teams, most of which are comprised of Dogs and their Humans. Over 1,000 cacher teams have logged over 22,000 finds. .

This Quest will take you to Falls Cemetery in Wabash Indiana. The coordinates listed above will get you close to the cemetery, then you must find the Memorial to the Children shown in the photograph to figure out the coordinates to the cache.

The Memorial to the Children, located in a beautiful serene setting on the South Side of Falls Cemetery, not far from the paved path, is dedicated to families and friends in Wabash County who have grieved over the loss of a child through abortion or miscarriage.

It is the prayer of the L.I.F.E. Center that the memorial will be a place where individuals and families can find a place where they can commune with God and receive comfort, healing, and peace; a place where they can find assurance that their beloved child is safe in the arms of a Heavenly Father.

Once you have found the memorial, you will see a four digit year date on it. You will use this date to solve for the coordinates:

40° 48.XXX
85° 50.0YY

where:

DATE MINUS 1544= XXX
DATE MINUS 1960 = YY

NOTE: Use date on Memorial, not date on photo of memorial on brochure. Only one year difference, so not really significant.

The cache container IS A 35mm film can. BYOP. You MUST sign the log to claim a Smilie. If you cache at night, or don't sign the log, or reveal the additional hint in your log, or don't fulfill any additional requirements, your find log will be deleted without notice...If you think these terms to be unfair, don't bother to hunt this cache. I have to say this or people will try to get away with stuff. The cache is not located near a grave... If you find a fallen US flag, please stick it back in the ground.
