Haiku Duck

Oh, isn’t this just Ducky

Once there were nine nice little ducks.
And what happy little ducks they were!
Then along came a strange Devil duck.
The Devil duck was very, very bad.
He was red, and had sharp horns, and traveled from place to place.
This little Devil duck was one of seven brothers, and each had their own special sin.
This Devil duck was “Sloth”fullness.
But one of the nice ducks was very good indeed, and often
committed random acts of “Kindness”.
This little duck was so kind that he helped the Devil duck along his way, and decided that he himself would like to travel.

Now you can help “Kindness Duck” or “Sloth Duck” on their way, for they wish to see the world. Both are travelers and carry with them their “travel bug” passports. OR, you can give one of the eight other little ducks a nice home. Just leave one thing behind to remember them by.

Duck Haiku –
Ducks down grassy lane
Waiting there to be released
Off to see the world

As a rather strange addition, it seems as though ducks have a fondness for Haikus. Thus each little duck comes with a haiku that he wrote just for you. In return the ducks would really like to hear one of your Haikus. Haikus are Japanese verse forms, notable for its compression and suggestiveness. It consists of three unrhymed lines of five, seven, and five syllables. Give it a try! Haikus seem to make ducks all warm and fuzzy inside. You can leave your Haiku with your “find” log on the cache page.

Note: The Devil duck traveler belongs to Jeremy. The Kindness traveler duck belongs to me. The satellite signal was very weak on day of planting but coordinates should be within reason. The box is wrapped in a brown plastic bag at the base of a tree. Only small replacement items please.
