Minor trails will lead you very close to the cache. After that, light bushwacking may be necessary. Only the last several feet are a little "nasty".
The Chicagoland tradition of placing a silver ammo can in recognition of a cacher's 1000th find was started by Fallenfaery and SpecialEd. We've placed this commemorative cache to honor GeoRon.
Ron's 1000th find actually took place on September 30, 2005. This cache should have been placed months ago, and we're sorry for the terrible omission! Better late than never, as they say...
Not only has Ron has been one of the area's most active cache hunters, he also has almost 80 hides to his credit. Ron, we all owe you a big "THANK YOU" for all of your effort!
Ron's been caching since October of 2002, so he's been around a long time, and he's surely one of the better known cachers in the area. As most area cachers know, it's quite a challenge to snag an ftf from him. 
Be sure to stop by, sign the log book, and congratulate Ron on this great milestone!
