Spike O'Dell's Other Radio Gig Multi-cache

This cache has been archived.

G.O. John and Carol: Well, the FPD doesn't want this type of cache anymore, and Spike's retiring in December, so it's time for this one to go.

We'll be out today to pick this up.

Thanks to all who visited!

Geocache Description:

Because of the unique nature of " Morse Code Multi" and this cache,
the usual 528' rule has been waived for stage 1 of both caches.

As you probably know, Spike O'Dell's incredibly popular program can be heard on WGN Radio 720 from 5-9am weekdays.

One job doesn't seem to be enough for Spike, so he's decided to host another broadcast, and it's a broadcast just for geocachers! To hear it, go to the posted coordinates, and tune your FM radio to 87.7MHz. Listen to "Spike O'Dell's Other Radio Gig", and he'll tell you the coordinates for stage 2. Feel free to pull in the driveway for best reception. It's that simple. Stage 2 is a few miles away, in the general direction of stage 2 for " Morse Code Multi". You'll also hear the coordinates for the Morse code cache on the same frequency, so if you haven't done that one yet, be sure to get the coordinates for both caches while you're here.

When you arrive at stage 2, of Spike's cache, you'll be looking for a large ammo can that's hidden in a traditional manner. There will be some pretty nice swag for early visitors, but don't get too excited, there aren't any Cub tickets or anything like that. Stage 2 is in a forest preserve, which is open from 8am til dusk.

Thanks for listening to "Spike O'Dell's Other Radio Gig", and good luck on stage 2!
