This cache is located near Discovery Site 20.9 of The Edge of the Wilderness Scenic Byway (Minnesota State Highway 38).
Before starting your search, you may want to pick up a Scenic Byway brochure. Brochures are available at the Grand Rapids Chamber of Commerce and the Marcell Ranger Station. While in the area, check out some of the other sites along the Byway.
From the brochure: "On the north side of the Discovery Site, the divide directs the waters to empty into Hudson Bay and on to the Arctic ocean. On the south, water flows into the Mississippi River and eventually into the Gulf of Mexico." There are several interpretive signs at the Discovery Site.
Follow the hiking trail. The trail will take you almost all the way to the cache site. The cache container is a standard .50 cal ammo can.
This is our first cache. We have stocked it with what we think are useful and/or interesting items, including our signature Oregon agates.
