Geocache Description:

I have placed this cache as a tribute to Nancy.

This cache is located in a woods just south of where Nancy lived. She would always be teased that in North Dakota even the birds carried lunch boxes because of the lack of trees.

This area is a wooded area near where my dear friend Nancy lived after being a missionary to Mexico and China. She was born and grew up in rural North Dakota. A farm girl at heart, but with a love for people and God. She started in college and became a registered nurse as her occupation and after honing her skills went to missionary training in Bloomington, MN. After graduating for the second time from college, she went out as a missionary to Mexico where she served for 17 years, then a couple of years in China.

When she came back to the US. She worked in the medical field until retiring. Shortly after retiring, she learned she had cancer, but that did not slow her down. She knew that this was another part of her life's journey and would continue to honor the Lord through whatever came her way. After many rounds of treatment, she died suddenly in December of 2016.

She was loved by everyone she met. The church where her funeral was held was full. Her family were all from out of state and were not sure how many people to expect. Many tributes were said by her family, friends, and co-workers.
