In their second trip to the NCAA Division 1 Championship game the Bison were able to make a commanding 39-13 win against Sam Houston State University for their 11th National Championship and 2nd Division One Football Championship.

This time the game is played at the same stadium, but now called FC Dallas Stadium. The first half was evenly matched ending in a 10-10 tie. The second half however was a different story the Bison exploded for 28 more points while only allowing a field goal. Three of the four touch downs initiated by interceptions. Go Bison Defense.\m/
