On January 9th 2016 the national championship was played between the North Dakota State Bison and the Jacksonville State Gamecocks of Alabama.
It was an interesting year where the Bison quarterback was injured in the middle of October and was on the bench injured until the last game, that happened to be the National Championship Game. Carson Wentz came back and had a command performance, blow out win at Toyota Stadium in Frisco Texas. Followed by Wentz being picked #2 overall by the Philadelphia Eagles in the NFL Draft.
