Geocache Description:

Sir Huntington came across the big pond back in 1894. He rode in on his horse to what is now Zimmerman, MN later that fall. As he was setting up his homestead a group of Chippewa Indians spotted him and his horse. Sir Huntington unaware of the tribes around got spooked and jumped on his horse. The horse ran full speed ahead and came across a pond near ground zero. Unfortunately the horse wandered too close and the weight caused him to get stuck in the mud. Huntington fearing for his life ran off and left the horse behind saving his life. Days later he returned to find his horse famished and weak. Sadly, his beloved horse passed. In memorial he left a marking to return and remember his horse. A skull can still be seen in the park. Huntington estates was born years later. Wave hello to sir Huntington and his horse as your drive in.

This is is a completely made up story because I didn’t have anything better to write. Enjoy the park and the area surrounding it.
