Kätkö sijaitsee Alimmaisen Angelvaaran laella lähellä vanhaa palovartijan majaa. Cache is located on the top of Alimmainen Angelvaara near fire guard's hut.
SUOMEKSI
Palovartijan majalle menee n. 1,6 km:n pituinen keltaisella merkitty polku. Polun alkupään märällä osuudella on pitkospuut, jonka jälkeen reitti on lähes jatkuvaa nousua majalle saakka. Polku kulkee välillä hyvinkin jyrkällä ja kivisellä rinteellä, joten ole varoinen varsinkin sateella. Tukevat kengät ovat suositeltavat.
Tulipaikka on sekä reitin alussa että vaaran päällä. Muista ottaa kahvinkeittoa varten vesi mukaan, vaaran päällä ei ole vesipaikkaa. Majalla on myös halkovaja ja puucee. Hyväkuntoinen kätköilijä voi hakea kätkön noin tunnissa, mutta ei kyllä ehdi ihailla maisemia siinä ajassa. Voit kiertää myös n. 6 km:n pituisen Angelvaaran reitin.
Ajo-ohje: Aja Tanhuasta n. 2 km Värriön (Savukosken) suuntaan tietä 967. Käänny vasemmalle Kannusvaarantielle ja seuraa opasteita. Voi vaikuttaa siltä, että tie vie jonkun mökille, mutta jatka ajamista ja olet pian parkkipaikalla.
Kätkö on n. litran kokoinen läpinäkyvä muovirasia. Kätkössä on kätkötiedote, lokivihko, kynä, teroitin ja vaihtotavaroita.
IN ENGLISH
Trail to the fire guard's hut is about 1,6 km long and it's marked with yellow paint markings on trees. There are duckboards in the beginning of the trail, after that the rest of the path is quite hard climbing on the hillside. Some parts of the path are quite steep and rocky, so be careful especially on the rainy weather. Ware proper shoes.
There are fireplaces in the beginning of the trail and on the top of the hill. You have to carry drinking water with you. If you are very sporty you can find the cache within an hour, but then you don't have time to watch the wonderful scenery. You can also hike the longer trail "Angelvaaran reitti", which is 6 km long.
Driving instructions: Drive road 967 from Tanhua about 2 km towards Värriö (Savukoski) and turn left to Kannusvaarantie (there is a sign on the roadside). Follow the signs. It might seem like you are driving to someones yard, but keep going and the parking place will appear soon.
The cache is about 1 litre plastic box and it includes note, logbook, pencil, sharpener and some changeables.
