The cache is located in the woods on the right side of the path.
Kätkö sijaitsee rantatien oikeaa puolta reunustavassa metsikössä.
There is a scenic view from the cache site to Tornio river and Sweden. The cache is located in the woods and is well above the ground but no climbing is necessary. For the first time finder there is an object related to timber rafting for you! The volume of this cache is about 2 litres. In the cache there are two boxes. Please keep the log book in the topmost container.
In winter time the terrain rating is 4 because Ahmanniementie isn't cleared with a snow blower. Take skis or snowshoes with you and prepare to a one kilometre round-trip! :-)
On E8 road turn west to Ahmanniementie in Pekanpää. See a waypoint.
Kätköltä avautuu mainio näkymä Tornionjoelle ja Ruotsiin. Itse kätkö sijaitsee metsikössä, mutta löytämiseen ei tarvitse kiipeilyä eikä kantojen kolojen tutkimista. Kätköön on ensimmäiselle löytäjälle jätetty palanen paikallista uittohistoriaa kotiin vietäväksi! Kätkö vetää noin pari litraa, joten sinne mahtuu kaikenlaista. Kätkössä on kaksi purkkia. Pidä lokikirjan sisältävä purkki päällimmäisenä.
Talvisin kätkön maastovaativuus on 4, koska Ahmanniementie ei ole aurattu perille asti, vaan edessä on noin kilometrin edestakainen hiihto- tai lumikenkäretki.
Käänny Pekanpäässä E8-tieltä länteen Ahmanniementielle. Ota tien risteyksen piste talteen, niin löydät helpommin.
