Geocache Description:

Grain Brook - Emerald Falls is a geocache that is situated in the valley that Grain Brrok runs down. It is a clip lock container.

Grain Brook rises on the Rossendale Fells, and eventually flows into Cheesden Brook. Running along the top of the small valley is the Coal Road, which used to be the access track to the colliery on Scout Moor.
Grain Brook is a place of interest and surprises, many of which cannot be seen from the Coal Road.

The cache is situated near to a small mossy waterfall, that in the sunlights looks emerald.

To get down to the cache site you need to watch your footing and take care. There is a small outcrop, so please be careful.

You can get down to the cache site from the Coal Rd track.

Overall, please enjoy yourself, but please assess the risk for yourself when you are there.
