Vehkaojan(47 taloa) kylän rakennuskivet louhittiin tältä alueelta. Kylä rakennettiin työntekijöiden asunnoiksi Hallin alueella toimivien yksiköiden tarpeisiin.
This is the area where stones of Vehkaoja quarried from. There was 47 buildings at Vehkaoja where lived employees who worked at the area of Halli.
Lyhyt tositarina.
Koelentäjä "Jurre" Juurikas putosi lähtökiidon jälkeen metsään kätkön eteläpuolelle Fiat G 50:llä moottorin pysähtyessä. Kun pelastusmiehistö saapui paikalle "Jurre" istui puolipyörryksissä kannon päällä ja pohti ankarasti: "Mikä perkele sille nyt tuli"?. Koneen kaatamista puista hakattiin 8 mottia halkoja.
A short true story:
Test pilot "Jurre" Juurikas made an emercency landing to the south of cache because the engine of Fiat G 50 failed after take off. When a rescue team turned up "Jurre " sat on a stump and almost unconscious asked " What the hell failed the engine now"? They chopped 8 cubic meters firewood from the trees the fighter cut down.
