Abacus - disarmed Mystery Cache

This cache has been archived.

AkiKarhu: It looks like now the time has come to say Good bye and send this (my very first) geocache into Geo-heaven. The last leafs of the trees around the container have fallen to the ground and look beautiful in there autumn blaze of colour. Now, it sort of feels right to do this final step.

Thank you very much too all of you who took their time to log this cache. I sincerely hope you had fun in doing so!

Abacus, ...R.I.P.

Good bye,
The cache owner

Geocache Description:

*** INFO (Abacus - disarmed) INFO ***

On 21.08.2010 Point Zero has been moved about 25 m into NW direction to a near and less frightening location. The cache is now directly located beside the path. The one and only house near the cache is inhabited by a geocacher family, who knows about this cache! So if you see someone there while logging your visit, bravely wave them hello or even go over and have a chat…

*** INFO (Abacus - disarmed) INFO ***

ENGLISH:

The abacus is a calculating tool used primarily in parts of Asia for performing arithmetic processes. Today, abacuses (or abaci) are often constructed as a bamboo frame with beads sliding on wires, but originally they were beans or stones moved in grooves in sand or on tablets of wood, stone, or metal. The abacus was in use centuries before the adoption of the written modern numeral system and is still widely used by merchants, traders and clerks in Asia, Africa, and elsewhere. The user of an abacus is called an abacist.

SUOMEKSI:
