[FIN] Poroista lintuihin Lapin mailla elää useita eläinlajeja. [ENG] In the lappish nature, many animal spieces have their home - from reindeers to birds.
[FIN] Tämä kätkö on kaksiosainen. Nämä koordinaatit vievät sinut ensimmäiselle pisteelle, josta tarkan tutkailun jälkeen saat lopulliset koordinaatit. Matka lopulliselle kätkölle on pidempi kuin yleensä multikätkössä, mutta matka kauneudessaan on taatusti sen arvoinen! Helppo reitti. Esim. talvella suksien olet pikaisesti perillä tai kesällä yhdistät päiväretkeen.
Saariselän alueen luonnossa on tavattu noin 130 eri lintulajia, joista valtaosa muuttolintuja. Alueen oma onnenlintu, saamelaisten onnentuoja kuukkeli on yksi halutuimmista bongauskohteista. Kesäkuussa 2011 alueella havaittiin tunturipöllö!
Nisäkkäitä alueelta on tavattu 21 eri lajia. Harvoin näyttäytyviä suurpetoja ovat esim. karhu ja ahma. Yleisimmät tuttavuudet polkujen varsilla ovat jänikset ja totta kai porot!
[ENG] This cache is in two parts. First coordinates will take you to a place where, with a careful search, you´ll find the coordinates to the final point.
The distance to the cache itself is longer than usually in multi-cache, but definitely worth it! Easy trail. During winter, it is easy to ski along cross-country tracks and in summer you can combine this with a day trip.
At the Saariselkä area, there are about 130 bird spicies, most of them migrants. One of the most wanted birds to be seen, is Siberian Jay ('kuukkeli' in Finnish). Kuukkeli is believed by the sami people to bring good luck for the people who see it. There are also 21 different mammals in the area. Bears and wolverines for example are seen very rarely. Most commonly you will meet a rabbit and of course a reindeer on your path!
