Saimaan syväväylän varrella Along the Saimaa deep-water channel
Luonnonkaunis Leppävirran reitti houkutteli jo 1300-luvulla eräretkeläisiä seudulle. Nykyisinkin sama reitti palvelee sekä rahti- että henkilöliikennettä Saimaan kanavan kautta Suomenlahdelle. The beautiful Leppävirta route attracted hunters and fishermen as early as in the 13th century. The same route continues to serve both freight and passenger transport to the Gulf of Finland through the Saimaa Canal.
