Hankmo är livskraftig stadsnära landsbygd i Korsholm nära Vasa stad. Hankmo byar utsågs till Årets by i Österbotten för några år sedan. I byarna Väster- och Österhankmo bor idag 549 personer och därtill är området populärt för fritidsboende.
