[FIN] Sotkavaara sijaitsee Pudasjärvellä n. 24 km
Pudasjärven keskustasta kaakon suuntaan. Sen korkeus on n. 200 m.
Vaara kuuluu Pudasjärveltä alkavan Vaara-Suomen Koillismaan
reuna-alueeseen. Vaaran länsipuolella on Jongunjärvi ja
pohjoispuolella Iijoen laakso ja Sotkajärvi. Paikalle pääsee
Pudasjärveltä Parkkilantietä ja edelleen Sotkajärventietä pitkin,
josta on vielä käännyttävä Sotkavaaran metsäautotielle. Toinen
reitti on kantatieltä 78 Jongun tienhaaran kautta Sotkajärven tietä
pitkin. Kaikki tiet ovat hyvin autolla ajettavissa. Kätkö on
mikrokokoinen, mutta sen voi löytää myös talvella. Varaa oma kynä
mukaan.
[ENG] Hill Sotkavaara is located about 24 km from the
town center of Pudasjärvi towards southeast. Hill is about 200
meters high and it is the part of the border of Hill Finland. On
the western side of the hill there is lake Jongunjärvi and on the
northern side there is the valley of river Iijoki and lake
Sotkajärvi. You can reach the cache site driving road Parkkilantie
and road Sotkajärventie. Then you have to turn towards the top of
the hill. Other route to the cache site comes from Highway 78. All
roads are well drivable by a normal car. Cache is micro-sized and
it is findable also in the winter time. Bring your own pencil with
you.
