Oravin kanava on kesälomien aikaan Suomen vilkkaimpia veneilyreittejä.
Satamassa on tarjolla hyvä palvelu siihen pysähtyville vesimatkailijoille ja alueen kesälomalaisille.
Kauppa palvelee tietysti myös alueen asukkaita.
Risteilyalus reitillä Kuopio-Savonlinna-Kuopio pysähtyy tarvittaessa kanavan itäpuolen laiturissa, Ruukinrannassa.
Linnansaaren kansallispuistoon pääsee kesällä venekyydillä ja talvellakin luistelureittiä pitkin.

Oravi Channel is during the summertime one of the most lively boating routes.
At the harbour there is a good service for boating including the shop.
The ship (Kuopio-Savonlinna-Kuopio) will stop if necessary at the harbour of the east side of the channel - "Ruukinranta".
To the Linnansaari National Park You can go by boat. During the winter You can go there by skating on the route that is well maintained.
