South East Essex: Interest Trail
A special variety trail consisting of 16 caches. Please see #1 for full details.
This cache takes you down a well maintained gravel public footpath that connects Fossetts Park to Garons Park, so this cache is also accessible from the far corner of Garons Park.
It is lined with plants and small trees where you can occasionally see rabbits hopping around, this route is a popular walk for dog owners in the area and is close to the allotments so be careful of muggles!
This cache has become a bit of a TB Hotel as it's a fairly discreet location and a decent size cache big enough for most TB's to act as a stop-over for them on their journey!
Fossetts Park is a fairly new retail development in Southend on sea.
If you fancy a bit more exercise you can follow the footpath around the fields to The Lost Church of St Mary Magdalen Cache (GC1RGKC).
From here if you still have some energy left it’s just a short walk to the WW2 HAA Gun Site Cache (GC1MD60) however bear in mind that you will have to walk the same distance back to where you parked your vehicle.
At the time of placing the cache the contents were:
Log book and pencil
A small buddy calculator
A googly rubber watch
A star picture frame
2 magnetic flower photo frames
2 magic facecloth’s
Good Luck!
Congratulations to gspleo & $tu for FTF !
