Etsin paikkaa haastekätkölleni, kun tämä kallio pisti kartalla silmään. Pitihän se käydä tarkistamassa, kun en paikkakunnalla ikäni asuneena siellä ollut käynyt. Tarkistuksesta seurasi että haastekätkö päätyikin toiseen paikkaan ja tänne tuli peruskätkö, kun kerran löytyi näin mukava paikka jonka haluan kaikkien kätköilijöiden pääsevän kokemaan :)

Itse kätkörasia oon kooltaan pieni, mutta siihen mahtuu kuitenkin geokolikoita tai pieniä reissaajia.

Kesällä kätkön lähelle pääsee autolla, lapsetkin voi ottaa mukaan, mutta kalliolla on syytä pitää lapsia kädestä kiinni. Kätkö lienee talvilöydettävä mutta saattaa sopivalla pyryllä hautautua kuitenkin lumeen. Talvella auto on parempi jättää Oitintien varteen ja kävellä Helkavuorentietä harjun yli. Rannan puoleinen mäki on nimittäin todella jyrkkä ja siinä voi talvella tulla nelivedollakin vaikeuksia. Kätkön lähellä, Ruotsinkalliosta luoteeseen pilkottaa metsän läpi Ritvalan upein rakennus, vanha pitsihuvila torneineen.

Kätköllä on hyvä eväiden syöntipaikka, tai jos eväitä ei ole matkassa, siellä kannattaa kuitenkin muuten vaan istahtaa ja antaa ajatusten levätä...

Suosittelen kätkön hakemista aurinkoisen päivän viimeisenä kätkönä, ennen auringon laskua, sillä kätköpaikka on lämmin kun aurinko paistaa siihen koko iltapäivän ja illan, ellei sitten tuuli tai sade satu juuri käyntisi aikaan pilaamaan tunnelmaa...

Geocache Description in English:

I was looking for a place for my new challenge cache, when I noticed this cliff in the map. It looked good in map, so I had to go and check how it was in nature. The result was that I hid the challenge cache to another location, and placed a regular cache here because I liked this place so much and wanted all the cachers to have a chance to see it :)

The actual cache container is small, but at least some geocoins and travel bugs should fit in.

During summer you can get close to cache by car, and take kids with you, but in the cliff you better keep their hands. Cache should be available in winter too, but after blizzard it may be buried in snow. During winter you better leave your car to Oitintie and walk over the Helkaharju ridge, as the slope on the other side is very steep and even 4WD may be in trouble there. Near the cache, NW from Ruotsinkallio, you can see between trees the most beautiful house of Ritvala, and old villa with tower.

Cache location is a good place for picnic. If you don't have anything to eat, the place is still worth sitting and resting...

I recommend searching this cache as the last one of the day, before sunset, because the cache location is warm when the sun has been heated it whole afternoon and evening, unless the rain or wind hits it...
