'L' is for Lovedean.
Lovedean is a small village, originally a cluster of farms that developed along the lane (Lovedean Lane) running through the valley of the same name. Today the area has been swallowed by the urban development of Waterlooville and forms the northern edge of the Portsmouth conurbation, but without losing it's rural feel along the route of the original lane.
To follow the route to the cache you will need a map detailing the local footpaths, and/or a GPS or smartphone capable of measuring distance and direction.
At the listed co ords follow the footpath in a westerly direction past the church for 185 metres until you reach a small area of woodland. As you enter the woodland take the first path on the left and follow this path in a southerly direction for 110 metres, keeping to the most well worn path, until you come to a fallen tree across the path. The cache is at the base of a tree 2 metres from the south eastern end of the fallen trunk.
The cache contains the log book, some swapable items and the letterbox stamp, please do not remove this.
