The Chantries form part of the ridge of the North Downs, just to the South of Guildford. Chantry Wood is 78 hectares of mixed woodland and an Area of High Ecological Value within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in striking distance of Guildford Town Centre. The Chantries are popular with walkers (and dogs) all year. Rabbits, deer, badgers and foxes live wild there.
The cache is very high up in a tree
You will need a rope to climb up the tree and maybe bring binoculars as the cache is quite hard to see in certain light.
Please be very careful when climbing the tree as it is quite high up
Beware of muggles as there are a few who walk under the cache
You can park in the nearby Chantries car park off pilgrims way for free.
If you enjoy it i will make some more caches in the Guildford area.
Please leave feedback or other ideas for geocaches. Thanks
Please take photos of yourself when you are up the tree
Well done to Hazelmead for FTF!
We really enjoy the anecdotes and experiences from visiting our caches so we'd rather not see simply 'TFTC' or :-)
