This is the second of our nature trail / scenic view caches. These caches lead you to beautiful spots in nature and they are not meant to be easy catches. The things to trade also have a special theme which is different with each cache.
Loons in the lake is a two step multicache that leads you to a place where you can trade small outdoors activity / camping utensils. If you plan to take something from the stash we ask you kindly to bring with you something that will be useful when hiking/camping and put it in the cache box.
Be prepared to do some hiking in the woods and a little climbing (non-technical). The whole trip may take 1–3 hours depending on how good nose you have for finding stashes. It’s also a good idea to reserve enough time as the place is worth having a picnic after finding the stash and especially good to watch sunset.
You need:
• small hiking/camping utensil to trade
• swimming suit and a towel (for your pleasure, not obligatory)
• something to eat and drink.
The coordinates above point to a micro cache which is located near the place where you park your car/bike. The parking place is in an outdoor activity area at the end of a road. The first cache is actually quite near to the parking place as the crow flies, but as you don’t fly (assumably) you have to find a bit longer way up there where the cache is hidden. The first cache contains instructions that guide you to the actual stash, but if you still can’t find the cache the encrypted hint should help you out. The photograph attached is meant to help you find the micro cache, should you have difficulties in doing so.

Tämä on toinen kätkö metsäpolku/näköalapaikka-sarjassamme. Nämä kätköt vievät sinut luonnonkauniisiin paikkoihin eikä niiden ole tarkoitus olla aivan helppoja. Kätkötavarat eivät myöskään ole sekalaisia vaan aina tietyn teeman mukaisia kätköstä riippuen.
Loons in the Lake (Kuikkia järvellä) on kaksiosainen monikätkö, joka sisältää retkeilyyn liittyviä pikkutavaroita. Jos olet aikeissa ottaa jotakin kätköstä, tuo mukanasi jotakin pientä retkeilyyn sopivaa, jonka voit puolestasi laittaa kätköön.
Valmistaudu kävelemään metsäpolulla hyvän matkaa ja suoriutumaan kevyestä välineettömästä kiipeilemisestä kalliolla. Koko matkaan kuluu 1–3 tuntia riippuen kyvystäsi vainuta kätköpaikkoja. Sinun on hyvä varata riittävästi aikaa jo senkin takia, että alue on retkeilemisen ja piknikin arvoinen muutenkin sekä erinomainen paikka tuijottaa auringonlaskua.
Tarvitset:
• jonkin pienen retkeilytarvikkeen kätköä varten
• uimapuvun ja pyyhkeen (vain omaksi iloksesi)
• jotakin purtavaa ja juotavaa.
Ylläolevat koordinaatit osoittavat mikrokätkön paikan, joka on lähellä aluetta, johon pysäköit autosi/pyöräsi. Paikoitusalue on viihtyisän ulkoilualueen parkkipaikka ja sijaitsee erään tien päässä. Mikrokätkö sijaitsee varsin lähellä parkkipaikkaa linnutietä mitattuna, mutta koska et ole lintu (uskoaksemme), sinun on löydettävät vähän pitempi kalliolle vievä reitti. Ensimmäinen kätkö sisältää ohjeet, jotka vievät sinut varsinaiselle kätkölle, mutta ellet onnistu löytämään varsinaista kätköä, allaoleva salakielinen viesti auttaa sinua siinä. Oheinen valokuva puolestaan auttaa sinua löytämään mikrokätkön, jos haaste osoittautuu muuten liian vaikeaksi.
