Multin reittiä muutettu 7.7.2012!
Tämä on Multian kunnan ensimmäinen kätkö. Suuri osa reitistä kulkee Saarijärven puolella, mutta sekä aloituspiste että lopullinen kätkö ovat Multian kunnassa.
Reitti alkaa koordinaateista N 62° 34.440 E 25° 00.549, jossa sijaitsi ennen ensimmäinen piste. Täällä onnistuu auton pysäköinti mainiosti. Jatketaan matkaa polkua pitkin seuraavalle pisteelle.
Piste 2; N 62° 34.448 E 25° 00.315. Olet nyt myllyn luona josta pitäisi löytyä kyltti, jossa on yksi sana. Laske yhteen kaikkien kirjainten määrä kyseisessä sanassa. Kirjainten määrä = B.
Seuraavaksi on vuorossa hieman pidempi osuus ilman pisteitä, seuraa sinisiä merkkejä niin pääset parhaiten perille. Kannattaa käydä laavulla osoitteessa N 62° 34.629 E 24° 58.976, sieltä on hienot näkymät.
Piste 3; N 62° 34.654 E 24° 58.480. Jos ensimmäinen polku Kulhanvuoren huipulle on liian jyrkkä, voit seurata "sinistä polkua" vielä hieman, jotta pääset ylös helpommalla.
Olet nyt siis Kulhanvuoren huipulla josta löydät myös tietoa tästä harjukummusta. Kuinka pitkä matka täältä on Syväojan rotkolle? C = etäisyys x 10. Täällä voit valita haluatko tehdä noin 3 km:n lisämatkan, jota suosittelen lämpimästi, koska tämän varrella on mm. hieno Syväojan kuru. Voit myös mennä suoraan pisteeseen 4, johon päädyt automaattisesti myös lisälenkkiä kulkiessa.
Piste 4; N 62° 34.593 E 24° 58.118. Täällä oli kivikautinen asuinpaikka, josta voit lukea perustietoja. Täältä löytyy myös penkit ja tulentekopaikka. Kuinka monta vuotta sitten kivikauden asukkaat tekivät tällä paikalla nuotioita? (=numero D)

Pääset kätevimmin takaisin aloituspisteeseen jatkamalla eteenpäin samaa polkua, jonka varrella kätkö sijaitsee. Kunhan pääset hieman pidemmälle, löytyy myös hyvälaatuinen polku.
Changes to the route on 7th July 2012!
Kulhanvuori is one of the highest peaks in Central Finland with its height of 260 meters above the sea level. If you read Finnish, information can be found here, or you can simply just look at the pictures.
This is the first cache in the municipality of Multia. Large parts of the route are in the municipality of Saarijärvi, but the starting point and the final cache are both located in Multia.
The start of the route is at N 62° 34.440 E 25° 00.549 where waypoint 1 used to be located. Now let's go to the second waypoint using a trail that starts here.
WP 2; N 62° 34.448 E 25° 00.315. You are now in the neighbourhood of a mill, where a sign with one word can be found. Count the number of all the letters in that word, so that you have B.
Now you are walking a little bit further without any WPs. Follow the blue markings and you have the best route. On the way you can go to N 62° 34.629 E 24° 58.976, where you can find a good viewpoint of the area and chance to make a fire.
WP 3; N 62° 34.654 E 24° 58.480. If the first path up to the Kulhanvuori is too steep, just keep on with the "blue trail" for a while and you will have an easier access.
So you are now at the top of Kulhanvuori, where some information about this ridge can be found in Finnish. What is the distance to Syväoja gorge? Distance x 10 = C Now you have a choice of whether to go for the 3 km extra walk, which I strongly recommend, as it includes for example the gorge of Syväoja. Or you can go straight to WP 4, where you would also automatically arrive using the longer path.
WP 4; N 62° 34.593 E 24° 58.118. This was the place for a stone age settlement, about which you can find information on the info board. Here you will also find benches and a place to make a campfire. How many years ago did the stone age inhabitants make campfires at this place? (=Number D)

Calculate first the following calculations, so that you have the coordinates of the cache, you just have to add the degrees and dots to your results.

The easiest way to get back to the starting point is to follow the same path as where the cache is. Just go a bit further, and there is a proper path.
