As "Captain Morgan" writes in his log below, the locomotive is no
longer where it used to be outside the railway station of Oulu. It is undergoing
restoration which is a good thing for an old ironhorse. Nobody knows if it will
ever come back to it's display position again. The geocache remains though,
but in a different location to before. The story within brackets is only kept
for reference of what was before.
( Engine number 995 of type Hv3 was one
of nine built by Lokomo Oy of Tampere. It was built as works number 137 in 1941.
VR, the Finnish state railway, used it to pull passengertrains. It weighs 100
tons and has the 2B or 4-6-0 wheel arrangement.
It stands at the location above, whithout shelter, and is slowly decaying
which is a great pity.)
The cache is a 35mm film canister.
