Alexandria is the learning center of the University of Helsinki
at the heart of the capital city. You'll find here a student
library, a whole lot of computer terminals and some self study
rooms for learning foreign languages. There's also a WLAN network
available for those that have a valid computer user account at the
University of Helsinki. |

The micro cache (N60°10.294' E24°57.066')
The coordinates lead you to a micro cache. You'll need your own
writing equipment to take notes in here. Read the instructions and
go to the webcam. Do not disturb the
students at Alexandria and do not prolong your visit
unneccessarily inside the building. Failing to follow either
this or the microcache policy leads to the removal of the log.
The webcam (N60°10.253' E24°56.925')
The webcam is located at the floor K1. If you feel like it, you
can take a stool and climb on it. Please take your shoes off. That
improves the photo quality quite much. Please try to be as visible
and recognizable in the photo as reasonable.

Optional: If you're a student at the University of
Helsinki
If you have a legal access to the locked student space you can
take a photo of yourself at http://aleksandriacamot.it.helsinki.fi/jpg/image.jpg
too. It's not needed for a find and you should keep away from there
if you haven't got a legitimate permission to visit there.

I have the magnetic key, so attached also the other photo in this
log entry. Quite poor satellite reception inside Alexandria.
 My personal passphrase from the
micro cache is included in the main webcam photo notes
field.

Shell script
Here's a sample shell script which you can adjust as you wish.
With this one you neccessarily don't need to call anyone for taking
the photos. Just copy this into Unix, "chmod a+x scriptname" and
run it with "./scriptname" (You'll need to stop it manually.)
